... it didn’t look too appealing from what we could see. We went back to the Mamma Mia chapel - Ag. Ioannis where took a few more photos as the rain eased a bit. We drove to Limnonari Beach and it was quite a nice. We had lunch in a nearby taverna - greek salad and saganaki for Mary, calamari for Troy. During lunch OMG the sun starting shining so we went back to Kastani Beach (Mamma Mia Beach) and took some more photos with some sunshine this ...

... We both had calamari and salad. It would of been nicer if the calamari was hot. We sailed up to about 6.00pm. Home to chill out and then headed out for dinner, Troy ordered mousaka, Mary had chicken with a mushroom sauce at a restaurant in the back streets up on the hill which was such a gorgeous area.

12 SEPTEMBER 2012 - Checked out of room around 11am. Our ferry was leave at 11.45am bound for Skopelos. Babis our host drove us to the ferry ...

Our last few days in Skiathos we spent exploring more of their beaches and monasteries. The town is a very quaint place with a wonderful harbor and lots of cafes for relaxing. The airport is about 5 minutes from town so you can sit and watch the planes land and take off. We have had incredible weather with just one day of rain, the rest in the 80's and sun. Hills, Monasteries, Goats and Sheep

On Tuesday we decided to rent an ATV to really see the island. A guy at the resort told us about the trails that cover the island and the many Monasteries that are here to visit, so we decide the best way to see them was by ATV. We picked up the ATV in the town of Skiathos from a place that is owned by a Greek guy who has a Masters in Economics from Chicago...very interesting.
