... If you sent your main luggage sent on ahead, it can be waiting for you when you reach the accommodation you have arranged for this evening. This version of our Nakasendo self-guided trip is for those wishing to experience part of the core 5-days of walking on the trail. We also offer a 10-day version of the trip with city stays in Kyoto and Tokyo and one day of private guiding with your own personal guide for a wonderfully intimate view of the city. ...

After disembarking this morning, we dropped our luggage off at our hotel and headed out to Enoshima Island, an island south of Yokohama. This island is one of Japan’s cat islands. ... just conquered. All tired but completely relaxed, the bus ride back to Tokyo was very, very quiet.

So, I started by saying that I scratched two activities from my list. Just four days after returning from Mt Fuji I attended Gion Matsuri in Kyoto, one of the biggest of all the summer festivals in Japan. Been there, done that, and ended up with over 400 pictures because I did so much more than just the festival! I'll save it for the next story, which will hopefully appear ...

... However, I'm sure time will help. I'm also making headway on keeping Will better occupied. It rained for the first 10 days in our new house. Without a rain cover for stroller (it arrived on day 9) and sharing a car with Mike, Will and I spent several days at home. That's a lot of pent up energy. When we have been out, I swear the only Japanese I use is "Su-see-ma-sen". Excuse me my child is loud. "Su-see-ma-sen" excuse my child is ...
