... before reaching the town of Otsuki. Four trains down, one to go! But here we received bad news. Due to the wet weather, the busses from Kawaguchiko up to the start of the Yoshida trail on Mt. Fuji were cancelled today! That left us with no way to do our Fuji climb – at least not today. After looking at our options, we headed up the last leg to Kawaguchiko anyways, and took a hostel for the night. The rain tapered off and the skies began ...

Praying for good weather conditions, we left Kawaguchi by bus to climb Mt Fuji. Arrived at the 5th station around 9pm.
The 5th station is basically the end of the tree-line on the mountain.

We aimed to be at the top of Mt Fuji around 4:30 am in order to see the sunrise. The climb should take around 5-6 hours. An hour on the Mountain and another 3 hours to go back to the 5th station in order to catch the first bus back to Kawaguchi ...

8 km walk from walk Magemo to Tsumago.

The guide book and the tourist information centre told me that it would take 3hours to walk it.
However I only had 2, as I got up way to late to actually do this walk. What can I say i did it in 1 1/2 hours :)

Rock'n Roll!!!! found the coolest little coffee shop in Tsumago.

... pull out and make up futon beds for you. Then breakfast is served in the room as well. We were hoping that the food would justify the high price to stay there, and we weren't disappointed. The dinner consisted of about 20 little dishes, some hot, some cold. We had lots of fish dishes, Japanese pickles and many things we couldn't identify. The ...
