Today started at our usual pace of slow... Breakfast at the studio, Greek yogurt with honey, croissant and coffee. The down to the beach to park ourselves under a sun umbrella and swim and read and swim and read and swim and read.. I'm guessing you get the picture. Shirley and I had organised to finish our time on Kos with a day spa..not your Australian kind of day spa this was an authentic Hamam Turkish spa..what a laugh! First of we didn't bring our bathers so they provided us ...
... boys again so we let them share. Got changed and went down to see Nikos at the beach. Got my goggles and snorkel out and went looking for fishies.
Saw 4 different types.
Back for shower and pre dinner drinks and then out for dinner.
Ruth made us walk all the way back into town for a restaurant she had spotted. I had the seafood platter which was huge but unfortunately overlooked and very dry.
... well as it could have been. Shirley had a productive morning in the shopping department then we decided to stop for lunch the boys had finished one site and came to join us for a pleasant lunch. Then back out shopping .....we found this lovely little French ladies shop full of Greek and Turkey items where I made a couple of purchases then we decided it was time to get back to the hotel...ok so which way... We decided taxi would be the best solution and Shirley spoke to a taverna ...
... to George and he told us his love story he bought us a round of shots. Ouzo for the boys and peach schnapps for the girls. Then Constantine decided he needed to give us shots too. A round of strawberry schnapps.
Then we went over to the supermarket to meet Mary. She still sounds like an Aussie.
Back to the studios where the boys drank half a bottle of ouzo
... down the road for lovely dinner, back to the supermarket for the bits we forgot before heading back to our beds. I very cleverly body planted myself on the road. Gonna have a beautiful bruise on my knee, wrist is pretty sore up to my elbow. Don't think it's broken ...
