... It became quite apparent an hour and 15 minutes before our excursion that there was no way we would make it to the dock in time for the trolley. Jean suggested we go to the front desk and see if we could get some help. I at least wanted to ask if they could write us an excuse as to why we were missing the trolley ride. ... has gotten us behind and we got to our motel a little later than we expected. We quickly unpacked the car and drove to downtown Camden Bay to have dinner at Cappy's Chowder House. Ellen had a mug of chowder and I had a bowl of seafood stew. Very good and just enough. Darkness had hit the pier so we only did a short walk and headed back to our motel. Our progress today was 140 miles in 9 hours!!
... 31 years ---I was 7 the last time I was there) or just going around town. Was a nice time to get away. Definitely need to go back.
At first the biking was easy as town was quiet. BUt as the traffic got more and more, I had to bring the bike back early as the streets were full of people. Arnold's was a great place to get a bike. the staff was super nice.
Spending time with my friend Marcos was great as well. ...
... but nevertheless we managed to consume it. We then went a stroll down to the waterfront which had changed that much we couldn't remember it from our last visit on the QE2 many years back. Unfortunately we weren't having a late sail away which would have been good as there was a lot more we would have liked to have seen. We had to be all aboard by 3.30pm for 4.0pm sail ...
... quite surreal in a couple of ways - the ink stamp on my hand once I cleared security was that of a kitten, the officer guarding the entrance to the warship seemed more interested in telling me he wanted to teach high school history and in the gift shop I came across a guy in camouflage, built like a tank and listening to the little music boxes for sale by holding their little tinkling cases up to his ear with a look of intense concentration.
