98 Chain Lake Drive Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, B3S1A2, 902-450-3020
Due to work commitments we end the cruise early. It would have been nice to have ventured into the state of Maine and seen Boston but duty calls. We learn that the horrid problem with the city sewer systems won't be fixed for another 6 months. Pier 21 looks so familiar from our trip here 2 years ago. The ...

It was raining lightly but we decided to hop on the bikes and ride for a little ...
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada nanseaj... alluded to earlier, the airlines had managed to loose Marlene's luggage somewhere between Perth and New York, so she had nothing except the clothes on her back and a bag of golf clubs. Earlier in the day they had made a run to Wal-Mart to buy some necessaries and by the time we arrived were visiting relatives of Marlene’s somewhere inland. Not trusting Garmi, we jumped on a city bus and went downtown.

Halifax Harbour is a great place if you like boats and ...
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada andy_n... br>
So I’m in Halifax, Nova Scotia! It is an amazingly beautiful city, I just love it. Everything is so green; there are lots of trees and gardens. The Public Gardens that they have downtown (exactly what it sounds like; a big park with benches, paths, a gazebo, a pond and flower beds), are just stunning! I’m such a girl; I had a great time just walking around looking at all the flowers and watching the ducks. I love the houses here too; they’re all ...
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada ausgal21... Halifax via Liverpool, known as the Port of the Privateers. Liverpool was celebrating "Privateer Days". Basically they are government condoned pirates
so I figured I would check it out. Had dinner at Lanes Privateer Inn and checked out the 1780's encampment. It was full of weirdos dressed and living as if it were 1780. Can't imagine why they would weird clothes and play pretend like that.

I miss ...
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada richmallon... about an hour they let me in but only after asking where I was going, who was I staying with, what my intentions were in the country!!

I met with Paulina and her son and cruised around Halifax for 5 days, The town has a lovely feel to it - bit oldy worldy. People seem to run on a differnet pace here but it definately has a lovely vibe to it. Its quite a clean in the downtown area which is quite small but very attractive ...
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada chamsterWell here we are having just crossed the threshold of a new year, new beginnings, resolutions and all that... 2009 came in here with a blast - literally. Xmas was great, everyone did exceptionally well at giving exactly the right gift to everyone else and the humorous ones raised the anticipated laughter. (June - your ring pull hat bands went down a storm and were particularly well suited to Leo ...
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada malbetWe watched from the front of the ship, as we came into port...our tour today was a hop on/off bus. Great trip around town to show us: the manufacturing area, port/shipping, hurricane damage from 2003, rock that the town is built on, city gate, mansion alley, Spring Garden Road and the public gardens. We got off at the Citadel to tour the facility. Here we saw the changing of the guard, costumed employees, bagpiper, gun salute and a very nice museum. Back on the bus, we drove by ...
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada cabsvacations... for Canada. Man, that's rude. We're allowed up to $300 of goods purchased and I thought I was way over but I started adding things up and I had trouble reaching $200! Hope I didn't forget anything. Moreover, I hope I get my bag!
So, I gotta get my bag, get to Dorval, go to Tom's house to get my house key (hope his Mom's home at least) and then have fun ...
