I had great time yesterday on a five mile hike around Enchanted Rock with people who had already walked the Camino. I met a wonderful couple, Esther and Rick who walked from Pamplona last year. He is 84 and she is from Frankfurt. I hope to become better friends with them. I was tired afterward but I did another 5.5 this morning and it was easy. I think that I was more tired from driving than hiking. I am so pumped ...

George Washington was inaugurated as the first President of the United States using this Masonic Bible which was borrowed from St John's Lodge No. 1, chartered under the Grand Lodge of the State of New York, F. & A.M.

Back from our trip to Africa and Switzerland and a little warmer weather. One of the things we enjoy doing while here in Llano is paddling on the Llano river. We have spent many an early morning watching the sun rise over the river and enjoying the birds and other wildlife we may happen upon.

... daylight was getting in short supply and the goal of getting to town before dark was a challenge.

After checking in, we cruised Main Street, had a few drinks at the Buffalo Nickel Bar on S. Llano and headed to Silver Creek Beer Garden for dinner...and a few more drinks.

Luckily, most of the shops along Main Street had closed by the time we finished dinner so we were done for the day.
