Well it's the first day being temporarily unemployed. Feels weird knowing I won't be going back to the hospital to work. Got a lot accomplished. My passport arrived finally. We got the hitch installed and the trailer reserved. We got to spend the morning with sweet friends and their 12 horses and numerous cats. Had a blast feeding carrots and apples to the horses. Didn't have far to go from Knoxville to visit overnight with our South FL Corvette friends transplanted to TN. Dave and Linda took us on a trip thru the back roads thru the Cherohala Skyway and stopping at the Bald River Falls which was a beautiful area. We drove thru a lot of small towns Athens and Etowah and then a delicious meal at a local diner. It was good to see their piece of quiet paradise!!
... we had to stop coz it was raining so hard was so hard we couldn't see where we were going We stopped at this little hotel and they gave us free coffee and let us use the restroom, they were so lovely. Our build day started earlier than usual, at 7am, but the early wake up was totally worth it because it meant we got to get our work done before the heat hit and also got to spend the latter half of our day at Mary's friend's lake house and dock.
