I did 900 kms today. I almost stayed in Winnipeg but decided to muscle on through. Things went from rocky and lake-y to flat and wheat-y pretty quick. Nothing to show for pictures. I'm on the Trans Canada HWY so just a lot of trucks and gas stations. Tomorrow I'm heading to Regina to say hi to Kath and then onto Edmonton. Missing my kids and family terribly. I guess I could have stayed this week in Ontario but I felt I needed to do this trek. So far, it hasn't ...
Souris Manitoba, home of the longest swinging bridge in Canada 177 meters. Also home to a huge butterfly collection, we have been to both previously and well worth the stop. The bridge was destroyed in the flood a few summers ago but has now been rebuilt. Not on the itinerary for this ...

Very common over here - people move down to the States for most of the winter as it's too cold. Sooks. Ha ha. Brandon is a city pretty much - reminds me of Bendigo or Ballarat in size. It has a University and big hockey etc etc. The couple of days we were there we mostly relaxed and enjoyed ...
