      ... However, as I was groping around in the dark, I was startled by a big burly fellow, fast asleep (or at least feigning sleep) in the space in front of the altar. Obviously, it seemed to him like a great place to crash. Clever of him to write that note and tape it to the door -- but it would have been smarter clever if he'd locked the door as well. (Needless to say, I beat it out of there as fast as my feet could carry me.)

      ... catnap during the last hour when pitch darkness descended, road construction was encountered, and then it started raining (to which, at that point, I reacted, "Really??!?"). But I survived another long day of churning out mileage...things should start to get a bit more leisurely for at least the next couple of days until some more mileage cranking thereafter...stay tuned.
