Today was quite cold with temperatures between 5 and 8 degrees, but I was dressed warmly and it was not a problem. Travelled only 440 km.

The roads were good, with little rain, and could reach Brandon Manitoba without problem.

I stopped for fuel at the town of Whitewood Saskatchewan and took some photos.

The most important news is that Mike McTaggart, who has been travelling from ...

... swinging bridge in Canada. So I can tick that off my list! On Saturday, Michelle, Kenzie and I went to Clear Lake - about an hour drive north of Brandon. We had a lovely lunch and walked around town. It's very much a summer vacation spot with many families spending most weekends in summer there in their cabins. ... easily take the metro which is really inexpensive, only €1.70 for one ticket! March 20/2014 Our first full day in Paris! Time for us to tackle the Eiffel Tower! We took the metro from our hostel and got as close as we could to the tower we still had to walk a bit to get there. We set up a small picnic on the grass in front of the tower and it was kind of surreal looking up and seeing something you would normally only see on tv! A note of ...

On Boxing Day we ventured info Brandon - about 45 minutes away - to stay with Kendra's sister Michelle for a few nights as Mary and Wayne left for a winter escape to Texas. Very common over here - people move down to the States for most of the winter as it's too cold. Sooks. Ha ha. Brandon is a city pretty much - reminds me of Bendigo or Ballarat in size. It has a University and big hockey etc etc. The couple of days we were there we mostly relaxed and enjoyed ...
