          Rest stop

A travel blog entry by backroadtravels on Sep 26, 2015

Just that. Nothing special. Stopped at a convenience store, bought a bottle of water and gave a couple cub scouts who were doing a fund raiser a few dollars. Trying to decide whether I want to spend another night on the road or save money and ride the rest of the way home. Skies are a mix of sun and large dark clouds in the distance. When the sun isn't shining it's a little cool --- high today is only around ...

... to Itacha and the five finger lakes region. We stopped to check out an amazing waterfall, cut through the sandstone 30foot higher than Niagra falls. A quick 5 minute drive to our first camp. A tutorial on how to put up a tent and then we were left to our own devices. A lot easier than I expected to be honest but the gravel pith we were allocated wasn't filling me with joy! A few beers round the campsite and our first camp dinner (spicy ...

... boats, kayaks, etc.   We drove back roads all the way through mostly farm country.  We even saw some Amish on the way.  The roads weren’t always the best.  We hit a big bump while I was up getting us something to eat and I wasn’t prepared for the jolt.  I whacked my head on the refrigerator and we had to stop on the road to stop the bleeding.  This has not been my best trip.   ...
