First stop we checked out the WW2 planes and got to see them drag one out and start it up... Fun Times. Then we went to a pre-civil war army fort and the gentleman running the place made sure we knew it was called the "war of northern oppresion"!! In April 2010, I ran across a magazine that said the Gorman Falls Hike at Colorado Bend State Park is one of the best hikes in Texas. So I finally decided to go check it out.
I got to the park around 11am and hiked the Cedar Chopper Loop to the Old Gorman Road Trail then across Gorman Creek then down to the falls. It was really beautiful.
