    ... packed our things and headed back to Chiayi to go shopping. Maryanne, Bayleigh and I wanted to buy some traditional Taiwanese blouses.     This morning after breakfast we loaded up our luggage to head off to Ali Mountain. This is one of the most scenic spots in Taiwan. It is 2,300 metres high and we will be staying overnight there too. After an hour driving we came to a river with suspension bridges and a temple built next to the river. This temple is built for Ji Gong Buddha and is also used to film a TV series about Ji Gong Buddha. We stopped for 1/2 an hour to look around. Then off again up Alishan ( Ali mountain). We ...

    ... and it was really hot, he took us to a 7/11 store and bought us an Icecream cone each. While in the shop there was a lady outside with a baby girl strapped to her back. I waved to her and smiled and she started smiling back and giggling. So I went outside and "spoke" to her mother and got a photo. Then it was off to a restaurant for lunch.
