... last long.....cops showed up and woke us all up (what is it with the 5-0 and me on this trip???) , they had another hiker in custody.....drunk....and they asked if we would take custody of him, so he wouldn't have to go to jail! I "signed" for him, and we put him in his tent, to sleep off his night.....(he was still passed out in his tent this afternoon, at 5:30 when we left town....sleeping it off!). ... things got tough, like really tough. Rocks and roots on a very narrow trail that goes up and up and up for miles. But that's not it: it starts pouring down, as if someone opened a really big shower, one of those fancy square shower heads that dump tons of water per second. Yeah, and for a long 30+minute shower.
