    ... nice out there. The place is really too big for us, but would be perfect if our whole family of kids and grandkids were here.

    ... was filled with cholla, ocotillo and blooming Saguaro cactus, changes into high desert with the big round scrub bushes before you hit Payson, AZ and are surrounded by lots of tall pine trees. We always wait till we get to the turn off for Woods Canyon Lake on the 260 to check the outside temps. It was actually a mild 95 degrees when we left Phoenix and less than three hours later it was a wonderful 81 degrees! Yes! ...
