The trip from Moyra and Dave's, where
Cindy stored her car for the summer, to Wisconsin requires an
overnight stop; Bobbers Motel fits the bill and is just east of the

Biked into pretty Minoaqua, a town about 6 miles away. People vacation here from Illinois-mainly Chicago. Healthy economy. Resort area. Stayed 2 nights. ...

... really enjoyed this stop. Finally crossed over into Wisconsin - goodbye Michigan - for now. We stayed at Patricia Lake Campground to check out the Minocqua area. A little challenging for JD to back the rig into the spot they gave us but of course he did great. The sites here are not super big and are heavily wooded. Pretty pines all around. This was a long day.. Set up the RV and called it a ...

It's called the North Lakeland Discovery center, and it was at one point a summer camp for the area's youth. It is now used primarily for events. reunions, retreats, that sort of thing. The director signed the camp up on warmshowers, and luckily there is no overnight program today, so I get to stay in the bunkhouse, a large, clean, carpeted room with several bunks, lights, power and wifi! I got on the bike a bit after 6am today with cloudy skies, but dry ground. That ...
