We woke up to sunshine which was the first we had seen in days so I was sort of feeling torn between racing home or spending a few moments checking out the Lake. We eventually ended up at Lake Champlain where we crossed the bridge and took a short walk to see the Lake Champlain lighthouse. Normally I think you could drive back to it but it was blocked off due to the season closing of the camping area. But the visitor center was still open and a very sweet lady chatted with us and directed us on how to walk to see the lighthouse. Again ...

We have been in Ballston Spa since August 10 and having a wonderful time. The kids are just delightful. The schedule here is busy and we fall into bed at our usual 9:00 many nights earlier than that.
