What's life without a little risk? Or, I guess in this case, a lot of risk! I leave for Egypt in three days where I will be joining ISIS never to return to the States ever again! KIDDING DAD!! Of all my trips, this is definitely one where I will need to take the most care, and I guarantee you that I will.

We ate lunch at an old fashioned soda fountain in the back of the drug ...

We were only a few miles from Holland MI and since it was Saturday morning we visited the local farmer's market there at the waterfront. A very nice farmer's market with lots of cherries (Michigan is one of the largest cherry producers), other berries, lots of produce, bread, plants, etc. Holland is a neat little town with an almost fully enclosed large harbor. We were lucky to get a spot at Holland ...

... you can order either type of food at any time of day. Since it was 9:30am, I opted for a pecan flapjack and a scrambled egg but the enchiladas were tempting. As I continued north the landscape soon morphed from hills and forest to flat corn fields; I was traveling through Ohio and Indiana again… The "Pure Michigan" sign proudly displayed across the border into this great state was a site for sore eyes: I would soon be done driving!
