Montreal to Port Kent

A travel blog entry by k-rod on Sep 02, 2014

Summary

Lola drove the 126 miles in 6 hours from Montreal to our car. I drove 40 miles in 1 hour to our hotel.

Highlights

We awoke with terrible hangovers and took a while to get going.

We made it to the border in good time though due to my visa we were directed to all enter the Customs and Immigration whilst they held our passports.

Summary

Drove 534 miles in a tad under 10 hours.

Highlights

We gradually rise in elevation from 200 ft to 1500 ft as we go deep into the Adirondack ...

We did notice on the way to Lake Placid, that some of the leaves are changing. ...

We were not excited about Vergennes. The water fall was nice, the town green community concert was cute, but the river was brown, the town was not vibrant and it was too hot. So we left early in the morning to make our way south to the Lake Champlain Bridge that was rebuilt and dedicated just a year ago. The trip down this narrow part of the lake was spectacular with the Adirondacks towering over us on our right and the ...
