... of wind turbines ( ugly). Drove until 9:15 to gain some ground. Made into South Dakota and lucked into a nice state park. Almost bailed out and checked into a camp jelly stone right by interstate. Ugh! Teaming with kids dogs and bikes. Left in a hurry. Tomorrow on o badlands and black hills. ... highway towards De Smet, the site of the Little Town on the Prairie. There are a lot more trees than I imagined but I expect that is because the first settlers planted them just like Pa did in the books. Gas is getting cheaper. We just say it for 3.39 a gallon. Actually all the gas has been cheaper than it is in Grand Rapids. ...

Wasn't expecting Chinese food or a waterslide

... and we had a pretty decent Chinese meal considering we are in South Dakota. My fortune said I will be taking a chance in the near future. I am not sure I like that. From Sioux Falls we drove to Brookings for our hotel. I took the girls down to the pool for a swim only to find that the pool had a waterslide also. Sarah thought that was very cool. She must have did the slide about 12 times. Now everyone is settling down for the night.

... were soaking wet with sweat! We then drove back to Benson encountering an awesome storm with tornadoes. The rain hit so hard I thought the windshield was going to break!
It was a tiring drive back, but we made it safe and sound.

The next morning we walked around the property finding many huge box elder trees on the ground.
Today, it's cleanup time! :-)
