          ... as we drive through the flat pecan and peanut fields. There are so many radio stations to provide the sound track to our driving, but it's Sunday so most of them are christian rock stations today.

          ... River joins the Suwannee on its way to the Gulf of Mexico. Along the river are long mounds of earthworks which were built during the Civil War to guard against incursions by Union Navy gunboats. Also, one of the states oldest cemetery can be found within the park as well as a paddle wheel shaft from a 19th century steamboat. The views from the park make camping here so enjoyable.           Where do i begin to explain todays events! The day started as every other so far, get up pack up van and head towards the I-10 East. Fuel was running low and the Best Western was right next to a Pilot gas station.
