... take 5 hours and there were numerous bus changes so we said stuff it, lets head to Pattaya a day early.. so for R50 we headed to Pattaya, an hour away, in an air conned bus and set off on an adventure! Very impulsive for me, but so glad we did it!

... a bit over the top I know but the events of the day had all just pushed me to the point where I had had enough. I walked back down walking street, barging into anyone who got in my way with a bit more force than was necessary. All I wanted to do was get out of Pattaya. The only problem was that I couldn't remember the name of the hotel and it was about three miles away. ... old men with young Thai beauties, and although that is obviously what this area is all about, it is VERY hard not to stare. At least we'll be prepared for some of the beach resorts though, where the same kind of thing is incredibly common.
