    ... starting to rain so got taxi back from there. Couldn't get over the fountains on a different note, used to be my favourite attraction but now just too crowded, full of parents with their children on shoulders (this was at night time too all upset and half asleep) and people taking videos of it on their phone.     ... Red Rock Canyon before we leave. In Utah, we will be out of the desert for a while and back into the mountains and a little more comfortable temperatures. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of secondary roads heading out of Las Vegas into Utah, so we will have about 125 miles on I-15. That's probably our longest stretch on an interstate so far.

    ... the 5.15am wake-up. We spent the rest of the afternoon by the pool at the MGM which was nice and relaxing. Keen to quench his burger cravings (it had been a day since his last!) Bernard's selection for dinner was Gordon Ramsey's restaurant 'Burgr'. Located at Planet Hollywood, the restaurant is hugely popular - as evidenced by the half hour wait to be seated and then a further half hour for our order to come.     ... other. We also ran into the soon to be in- laws of my walking buddy .Small world. We finally arrived in Las Vegas about 5:30 (2 1/2 hrs late). Focus on the Family had people waiting for us at the luggage carousel which helped a lot.
