        ... off the ferry, we realized that maybe we had stayed on the wrong side of Lake Champlain. Plattsburgh had a beautiful state park right on the water with camping and a beach. Plus there were restaurants nearby. We took a scenic route south through Plattsburgh along the lake. It was a nice ride and we saw a lot of beautiful homes where the affluent people live on the lake.

        ... from the put-in. It was a lovely spot - perfect for camping but camping is not allowed there. It has a little sandy beach where Otto fed some fish with bread and hopes to bring his grandson Milo. I took some photos with the macro part of my waterproof camera.

        ... they weren't optimal. One was too sttep. One was too far away. While exploring the put-ins, we met a couple from the Carolina's who had spent much time in the Adirondacks when they lived in Rochester. Oh, oh - was she Chris and I have forgotten his name. Very pleasant people. They said they were checking out some of the historical sights. Otto suggested we follow Tahawus road and see what we could see.

        ... office building with a beautiful rooftop pool. After a quick McDonald's dinner we headed to the Jazz Festival. As we walked around we found several stages at which we could stop and listen to the music. The highlight was Florence K-an amazing piano player/singer and entertainer.         ... at Dancing Bear always gave us an enthusiastic "yeah" with any request we made. Our breakfast waitress at Dancing Bear barely spoke beyond the necessary questions and comments. We ate dinner at Player's Sports Bar two nights. Cassie, our waitress was also an enthusiastic college students studying math. We also saw her at while eating breakfast around town.
