... just a bit OTT "merica" for me, a huge star spangled banner and a massive eagle, patriotism is always very apparent here, but this year seems to be even more so than other times we have been here.

After the parade finished we had a half hour wait for the fireworks, but, this was filled in by some really nifty projection work onto the castle, it was turned all different colours and had scenes from movies projected onto it, ...

We had lunch in the Land pavilion and after seeing the rain pouring down outside spent some more time inside. We did a train ride through the greenhouse where they grow a wide variety of plants, herbs, fruit and vegetables. Land also features an aquarium so we had a lot to see in there. ... Against the Dark Arts classroom before getting on the ride, which was part simulation, being led by Harry, Ron and Hermione. We soared through Hogwarts, got attacked by Dementors (which actually jumped out at us) and the visuals were just amazing. The Flight of the Hippogriff was a cute rollercoaster, being led by Hagrid.
