... of people call home. Whole families and communities are here on the side of the road with their belongings and not a lot else. It's really strange and really, really sad to see. It's just such a weird proximity to the expensive part of town, it's not on the outskirts at all.

... was mostly in the dark, she was so scared she kept her eyes closed the whole way! We got our spot then for the nightly parade. Amy was thrilled to see Elsa and Anna from Frozen come out on the first float, and Ginny was brought to tears at finally seeing Mickey Mouse. We had such a great time, what a fabulous place! The grounds are immaculate, the rides and sets are incredible, the attention to detail is extraordinary. We can't wait to head back there ...
... had a lovely hotel breakfast – half the price yet very nearly as good as the buffet breakfast at Tenaya Lodge. (I of course had another bacon meat mountain.)
Still reeling from last night’s exciting bear experience we checked out and got in the car to say a sad goodbye to Yosemite and begin our journey to Anaheim. Ten years later we arrived… Seriously, that’s what it feels like.
... though. So, technically I saw all of these stars
and even got a picture with a Johnny Depp impersonating, which was pretty cool!
I really enjoyed Madame Tussauds and getting to take pictures with all of the celebrity
Afterwards we headed to Anaheim and once we
settled in to our hotel we headed over to downtown to eat, shop (of course!),
and watch the fireworks. We ate dinner at ...
... to see how Australia is depicted! William especially liked the gentle nature of this ride – he is a bit young for the thrill rides really. We head into ToonTown after this – a whole area we haven’t been in yet. The kids are having a blast running around the play areas, and exploring the zany nature of ToonTown.
I’m keeping an eye on the time, and we make the dash back to the Jedi Training Academy to get a good spot. ...
