... Gold Rush town. There are many different casinos up and down the multi-tiered "strip" that winds all around the town. Brew pubs, gift shops and, yes, dispensaries are also everywhere you can see. We asked the guy at the KOA to recommend a good place to grab a bite and he said "The Lodge" casino would be our best bet. Look at the pic I just posted and you'll see why "Tonight- we eat like kings!"

After an early breakfast we hit the road we had a long day ahead of us. We drove to Loveland Pass and the Continental Divide. The Loveland Pass is where the US Highway 6 crosses the Continental Divide between the Loveland Basin and the Arapahoe Basin. It is a long climb to the Pass but the scenery is fantastic with different scenery on both sides of the road. ... on this trip. And from here on, we were in the mountains and at high elevation for the rest of the day. We passed several mountains along our route and one of them, Mt. Antero, is taller than Pike’s Peak, topping out at over 14,260 ft. The top of it was up in the clouds.

... the plan was to go to the copper mountain ski resort and have a kids afternoon! All kids activities. for breakfast we had upma and then got ready to leave.

Lunch was at a vegetarian place, green tomato and then entered the ski area. The kids got day passes and we were all set for a fun day at the resort.
