Our first week in Dhaka
... just not in one shop so you would need to visit butchers, bakery etc. To buy western brands is pretty expensive for example kelloggs cornflakes is about £3.00!! But things like fruit, veg and local food is so cheap!

Preparing to Farewell Bangladesh
After a shaky start yesterday, I am getting ready to head out to the airport to catch my flight to Kuala Lumpur.
Bangladesh has been an interesting journey and although it is not a destination I would actively recommend to people, I must say that I have enjoyed the two weeks I have spent here and may one day soon consider another sortie into this strange and interesting land.

Settled into Dhaka life

Dhaka Impressions
... Yasmin' was worried what we might do in Dhaka for a whole week. She quickly realizes that we are not into fancy buidlings, pretty sights and the usual touristy stuff. Because of that, there is so much to do and see that there just isn't enough time. Anything we mention or even whisper as an interest, Yasmin is on it to organize it for us. Amongst the things we see is a Sari weaving facility, a refugee slum, another slum (called Korail I think), handicraft markets and strolls ...
