... was whirling about at over 100kmph we didn't want to continue driving. After a quick drive through the town and a stop at the I-site we drove a short distance to the beach and a hostel called Old Bones. Its was named old bones after they discovered prehistoric bones of an Emu like bird when digging the foundations for the building. Time for some exercise after that when we went to the Katiki Lighthouse and walked down the track to the penguin hide. No penguins at that time of the day but heaps of seals basking on the rocks in the sun.
