... easily at number one. There wasn’t a single Monday morning we didn’t race to school, looking forward to spending the day (and the week) with our amazing and beloved students. In just one short year with them, we have seen them grow and learn in ways we wouldn’t have thought possible. At ages ranging from nearly three years old to well into five, their capacity for development is incredible. We started with the basics, but quickly found them able ...

    ... nice all the same.
The last couple of weeks I've stayed in Houjie, to hang out with everyone for the last times. One of my favourite nights was when us four Dao Ming teachers (Catherine, me, Mikkel, Andreas) went to the food market for dinner and just sat there with some beers, talking and laughing for hours, and trying to decide who was the most and least lame of the group (me and Andreas the most, Mikkel and Catherine the least - ...

... graduation. I felt sorry for the administrators who were at everything!

Besides the regular stressors of finishing work, marks, narratives, collecting books and PD reports, we had a fun Spirit Week and dressed up for a different theme each day –my class won 3rd prize beat out by those darn keen 4 and 6 year olds! For the concert, my class sang Jason Ruiz’s? Ninety-Three Million Miles which ...

... ride around Houjie. The original aim of the bike ride was to find the temple in Houjie (which apparently exists although I'm not so sure any more), but 4 hours later and no temple in sight, I just did my own thing. Found some cool areas including a more rural area of Houjie with fields and chickens, and what looked like the posh area too. It was such a nice day so Catherine, Cliadhna and me sunbathed on the roof when I got back and then did some lesson ...
