... just a group of 6 power boats on the rocks with the owning families sitting in a group around their picnic tables on the rocks. They are very sociable, the Scandinavians, they do appear to enjoy these informal get-togethers, this particular group were there from the time we arrived at 15:15 until after we went to bed at around 10:30. They have lots of stamina!

Our berth was alongside the outer pontoon but about 8metres outside us was a rocky islet, so we knew that no other boat would raft against us as they would block the channel, so we were quite happy with the choice. Moreover, we later discovered that there was a free bus service to town so in our book, this was a much better choice to spend the night.

... incredible dinner (herb soup and Norwegian salmon) for dinner at the restaurant inside the Fort (Vertshuset Curtisen). Thursday (1 August) was time for Camilla to go back to work, which gave me time to sleep and move as little as possible.
