... the beach to collect them as we did today. Similar to Mexico, though far less often and without the harassment, there are locals that walk by the beach beds selling food, hats, sunglasses and hair braiding.the vendors are very low key in their approach calling out softly as they walk by. After our 2 day sail we pull into Portamao and decide to drop anchor rather than go into the marina as it was a lovely big bay by the beach and a lovely afternoon. Just what we needed after 2 long days at sea. The sunset was beautiful and a cosy night in board before getting up at 3 to head onto Sines on the west coast of ...

The lady was lovely and so surprised when we said we were from NZ. She went to tell her husband behind the bar and when she came back she said that he had said that NZ was by Sth America.
