Kayaking Efate
... mangroves and jungle. We stopped under a huge Tamanu tree for a break. Henry handed around some of Pascals lime water and told us about the valuable oil contained within the Tamanu nuts. Locals collect them and separate the oil which is then bottled and sold as an ointment for treating skin conditions. We also spotted some wonderfully delicate orchids and I managed to spill my beverage all down my front.

Mele Cascades
... br> Together we slowly made our way down stopping in a pool fringed with tropical plants, a shallow area of river and a deep blue pool where the current was so strong we could swim on the spot (quite a good work out). The only downside to the experience was the power of the water was sometimes quite intimidating. I managed to slip over on the rocks at the entry to one of the pools and as soon as 1/2 of my body hit the water ...
