    Friday 26 September

Drove to the village of Homps to visit the brocante (antique and vintage shop) where I selected some items and it was only as I came to pay did I realize that my purse was not in my bag. We returned to the canal boat but no one had handed in a purse. It must be at the house I thought. So home we went. But it wasn't there. We went to the restaurant ...

    Thursday 25 September

Went for a bike ride with the intended destination of Homps, a village some 11 kms along the canal. Unfortunately, due to work crews removing a large numbers of plane trees that line the canal, the canal path was closed. Headed south for a coastal drive around the outskirts of
    Narbonne to Port-la-Nouvelle. A pretty
    town with a lighthouse.

A harbor full of sailing boats and lots of restaurants where we found a restaurant serving moules and frites (mussels and fries).

In search of a lighthouse to view, we drove a very narrow scary
    road around the cliff.

Today was Cathar castles day. First stop was at Lagrasse which is a pretty
village with lots of coloured shutters and narrow alleyways. While the others went to view the castle I
went to the Brocante where I found lots of great things. We then moved onto Villerouge-Termenes. The castle is fairly well intact and we
enjoyed lunch viewing the castle walls.

... was a couple of kms away, hundreds of tiny baches/cribs on concrete structures built I would assume in the 60's to the 70's with Asbestos roofs Yuk!.
The beach was packed and there was even a few topless (not a pretty sight!!)
Families were having fun, jetski's etc.
Off with our gear and on with the togs with a towel around us as hard to find somewhere to change. Found a space among the masses then took the ...
