... because carp swallow the pellet and dont bite it. there is a small line coming off form the hook, you place the pellet there so it stay close to the hook. then we made a string of PVA (a material that will dissolve in water), and on that string we palced 10 pellets. The string is simply tied to the hook, and when the srting dissolves then the pellets reamin in the area of the hook.
