It was 7am that we had to be at the park for magic morning. Not 8, not 9. 7! We all enjoyed a breakfast picnic in our room and made it just in time this morning. It was worth the early morning. The park was virtually empty, compared to how it normally is. We took advantage of the minimal queues to ride on Star Tours (again),The Matterhorn and Autopia. After the hour was up we headed to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to book Tilda in for her ultimate ...
... I was pretty terrible at it-- especially since some of the waves were over 10 feet high and the lifeguards were starting to get restless about the swift undercurrent. The waves were a bit intense for what I was used to; I think I need to learn how to bodysurf on waves that won't tumble my body every which way before I hit the big ones. Jim and Jonathan were great, however, and we had a fun time wrestling the ocean for a while.

Feels good to be back and it feels a little bit like home. I know my way around this place so we hit up the Java Hut for a much needed coffee and then head down to the pier to see what's shaking on the surf scene and the competition. So good to be able to make the Van Open again ... Had a great time last year and it's looking like a good one this ...

... more time to kill so we willingly had another go on California Screamin and Toy Story Midway Mania. This time I nearly beat Joel and was in the lead for over 2 thirds but he still managed to come out on top.
