... bread rolls and fresh pickled cucumbers. All started off with a light soup and a toast with schnapps or raspberry and Cherry liqueur (this is yummy). The pork just melted in your mouth, it was so tender and sweet and moist. The skin was crispy and salty. Just beautiful. Don't worry Philip we all had a bit for you. ... outside for the day, so they have a fresh spot each day. People here live a very basic life but they are happy. Rad's father today was out cutting fresh grasses for the pigs with a scythe. He cuts enough for the day for all the pigs and the cow and feeds it to them throughout the day. He grows grain, stores it and grinds it as he needs to feed to the pigs. He collects grasses, cabbage, grains and food scraps and boils it all up to feed to the pigs as ...

          Shopping, Zagreb and Bosnia

A travel blog entry by jdobson on Jul 10, 2014

Wednesday we had an easy day, we went shopping. Drove 100 k to an outlet mall for the day and spent 4 hours wandering round the shops before driving back and changing to go out for dinner. Made a few small purchases but nothing significant. Out to dinner with Uta and Rene ( our hosts), Lina and Anna (Uta's daughters), Uta's parents, Ralph and Gabi, Uta's sister and brother in law and Peter, Rad and myself. ...
