Passports stamped we approach customs, we had already prepared Dream Catchers documents in case they required them, but the very nice smiling official asked if we had anything to declare and where we were heading, he then asked for the dog passport, we obviously must have given the correct replies as he waved us on. After a skype call with Philip, mum, Lilly and Claire this morning I was picked up by Peter around 9am. Straight out to the parents to see the pig taken off the spit. ... not that I could understand it. Bathroom has toilet shower washing machine and water heater all in about 2 metres square. But they are a fun, loving family. Mum has a small but very pretty flower garden around the house and they have a few acres where they grow maize. Etc. I am staying with Nena about 15 minutes away. She lives in a one bedroom apartment on the fourth floor of a building, with no lift. Very small again. And decorated very orange. ...

Wednesday we had an easy day, we went shopping. Drove 100 k to an outlet mall for the day and spent 4 hours wandering round the shops before driving back and changing to go out for dinner. Made a few small purchases but nothing significant. Out to dinner with Uta and Rene ( our hosts), Lina and Anna (Uta's daughters), Uta's parents, Ralph and Gabi, Uta's sister and brother in law and Peter, Rad and myself. ...
