GREAT service, very welcoming and friendly (as is the whole island)...i liked that this was closer to the beach rather than the main town/port...the beach here was awesome

Today we left Athens late afternoon to travel to Naxos. Our flight wasn't until 4pm so it was a bit of a waste of a day. We organised a late checkout luckily and I had my latest sleep in so far. The girls went to the Post Office and to say goodbye to Elisabeth while I slept.

Naxos Island - first full day and really feel on holiday now...

We have hired quad bikes to get around the island. If they only knew how clutzy me and Voulz are they probably wouldn't have given us one. LOL The 'instruction' we got on riding it too was like this:

We have discovered that Voulz has been using a funny word in her Gre-nglish. Every time we've had a nice meal, as appreciation she has told the waiter that the food was 'thavmasio', which she thought meant it was awesome but actually means miraculous, which in Greek context of food is probably making it clear to the waiter that we're not locals... …
