... People very much keep to themselves and behave very quietly. The biggest noise is the olives that drop and and give a little roll on our roof. On our right are Germans (who I haven't let on to speaking German so I can eavesdrop, but unfortunately they hardly speak) who clean and tidy and wash the van constantly (although that seems to be the motor homing males prime occupation) Their neighbours have pot plants that sit in the sun with them. ... sunshine and beach time. We spent quality time with Hugo (a guide/hostel manager) as we, again, were the only ones in the hostel. He took us on a cave hunt/cliff walk, led us to our coveted hole in the wall breakfast joint, gave us a glimpse into his new "urban" tour of the street art and history of Lagos and capped it all off with a spectacular day of kayaking in and around the cliffs and caves of Lagos. Definitely one of the highlights of my whole life! ...

Purchased a hat, looks a bit pommy but different. Cork is all the rage here. I decided against cork. This is straw??They are trying to reinvent demand for cork as the wine industry moves to screw caps. Not that we noticed here.
