... about ambition or dreams or frustrated dreams....slowly slowly. ....not clawing or holding on too tight. It really takes the pressure off, all things will happen, in their own sweet time! And our days here are long...we've worked mornings, and eaten late, cooking on and huddled close to the fire, off to bed at midnight. No TV, not much radio and next to no internet! The day stretches on until it's suddenly ...

We've just celebrated Easter, with a fast amount of food! Three things seem important here. Gigantic platters of lamb, thick walled pastries and family. I was lucky enough to be invited to join my friend Seb's family. The interior a cross between ...

... The moves were so ecstatic, physical manifestations of the beat, fast and raw and thankful. Wilder than any dance sessions I've ever experienced. The morning dawned blue and misty. I packed bread and cheese and optimistically my sunnies. Seba had invited me to walk up the Puig to Alaro's famous castle and we abandoned the car on rough ground and strode up the track and onto the cobbled Camino ascending through pine, twisted olives and wild Rosemary. The views from the ...

      The first day of Spring....

... decked out with bottle green shutters and succulents in flower pots. It was freezing, a sneaky cold wind froze everyone, but a fair few intrepid tourists were there and a warm 'coco de potatas' sprinkled with icing sugar from a cosy bakery helped me to thaw. I sketched, slapping on loose watercolour and doodling freely over the top. Joseph Coll Blandecot exhibition was vigorous, free flowing colour and marks, loosened by 30 years in the studio. His landscapes ...
