Although China is famous for cheap prices, living here for two months, I’ve come to remiss the quality I used to find back home and elsewhere. In Hong Kong, however, I’m able to find anything and everything I’ve sorely missed back home. Not only that, but where china offers you only one side of the equation, ...

... for NYE and had a great buffet at the W hotel. New Year's Day we spent the morning at a spa and the afternoon exploring Mong Kok, a very busy area with lots of shops and markets. We headed to Macao for the afternoon - which is where all the casinos are so lots of the locals head here to gamble. It's pretty much a mini Las Vegas. Another great thing to see was the light show that happens every evening at 8pm across the harbour with the lights beaming off the sky ...

... time in HK which we spent trying to find a supermarket. To no avail. Got wine from Marks &Spencer and chips and bee from a 11to7 shop. Both of us remembered seeing a great food shop and we really tried to find it again but din't! Very annoying! Spent a few hours snacking, drinking and reading in the public area in the lobby. Very nice and something John really had longed to do for days. He is just so ready to go home. He ...
