    Jurassic World

A travel blog entry by sojanet on Jun 19, 2015

I went to see Jurassic World 3D with my parents. The movie tickets in this town are so cheap-- $12.75 for adults, $9 for seniors-- and that's for 3D!! There was live music across the street and overall a very good Friday night atmosphere in town! I thought the movie was very entertaining. The 3D aspect wasn't too astounding, like I never felt like the dinosaurs were right in front of me or coming towards me, but the creation of a theme park on screen was very exciting! Highly ...

    Last day of tutoring!

Today was my last day of tutoring Alice, a Korean middle schooler I've been tutoring for the past 2 months! We put together an independent study plan for the summer, and I wished her well for the coming academic year and her life in the US of A! I moved here pretty much the same age as her, so I wanted to motivate her as much as possible :) I showed her mom and her around my parents' backyard garden/farm and picked some ...

This weekend was fun! Last night my parents and I went to Callaway Gardens for live music! We packed lawn chairs and drinks and snacks. It was a blast! The band was a local band from Manchester, GA.. comprised of middle aged men taking shots on stage and jiggling to a classic combo of harmonica, guitars and drums and switching between covers of American classics and their originals. There were families and young folks and little kids. I took some photos of the house ...

... by showing a basset hound licking whatever else that represents the bacteria. Sketchy Micro does a great job of setting scenes and weaving stories to help memorize things. Microbio was definitely one of the hardest blocks in 1st year due to the sheer amount of memorization, so this is great! It's a fun way to ease back into things.

So yeah! Time has been going by steadiliy. I've been very content and grateful with where I am!

... on donations from old students! Amazing, huh? There were 2 female assistant teachers and a male assistant teacher who sat in the front and played the tapes and videos. Also 2 female course managers and 1 male manager tirelessly ran around 24/7 to help the students with logistics. Add 15 or so servers who prepared the meals and helped behind the scenes. Just seeing how dedicated these old students are was inspiring and made me think there's ...
