... hours to reach Bangkok. Then, since we were at the bus station, Don inquired if there was a bus to the airport. There was, leaving in 5 minutes. For a minimal cost of 100 baht (just over 3 dollars), we hopped into a passenger van going to the airport...ahhh! The driver drove like he was crazy - speeding, weaving in and out between other cars, switching lanes continually, ...

Buying fakes, rejection and protests

... from the originals to C for the really poorly made cheapest ones. We went straight to the top floor with the idea of working our way down the levels but 5 hours later we hadn't made our way through half the top floor! He only asked for 20b, but after a full day of running us around we gave him 300b, only $10. "Oh yes, this makes me very happy!", he said. Even though food and goods in thailand are very cheep, I still couldn't imagine how he manages to live life. He has only been a Tuk Tuk driver for two years, before that he worked in a factory ...

One Day in Bangkok

Yes we are finally here. The plane ride was much shorter this time, only 5 hours and one movie,, and again we arrived early. We were picked up at the airport by our Mariya Boutique Hotel shuttle van...reminded me of Cash Cab, fancy lights on the inside roof, but with white leather seats. Showered then set out to the Grand Palace. The taxi to the Palace took about 50 minutes, with the driver using the paved shoulder on the freeway (guess the traffic rules ...
