After a few trials and tribulations at Sydney during our check-in, where:
i) Northern's passport caused a few heart flutters with the Thai Airlines' check-in staff and
ii) we couldn't get our bag tags printed so as we would collect our luggage in Delhi.
Overall, it took some 45 minutes just to check-in !! Thai Airlines were good, we were then "expressed" through customs and immigration. No need to hurry, plenty of time: they were ...

The climb started at 5:15 and the drowsy muscles were soon awakened as the steps commenced immediately outside the hotel door and did not abate all the way to the top, where the now wide awake circulatory system turned from heating muscles to heating the body, since the sub zero Celsius chill quickly got you our now sweaty bodies. ... possesses an extensive collection of antiques that has been beautifully woven into the decor of the place. Built three years ago and opening in 2012, this quaint oasis in Bangkok is like a museum. Literally, around every corner there awaits some enchanting antiquity. Our room had two curio cabinets filled with beautiful carvings of majestic elephants, while the walls were decorated with framed articles, posters and photos of these gentle giants from eras gone by.

... We got into Oslo at around 11.15pm, on schedule, I worked my way through customs and out into the main lobby where I was able to retrieve my luggage. I had some squid and Liss pork ribs, it was delicious and well worst the money.
