... is much to be learned from them. When people asked why Burma, there was no way to explain what really seeing another place does. I hope by blogging others can get a sense of it. Photographs can show and tell...give you a glimpse of the beauty of the country and the land. But you really have to live it to experience it. I am sad to go, but so very glad that we came! ... we could ever have dreamed. We've seen and done such amazing things on this trip and the memories will last us a life time. We rented a car and set off tring to navigate the backwards roads. We got lost within the first five m uses but we asked some people at a dive shop and they were able to lead us to our hotel the Le Meridian. When we got to the hotel, they gave us some fruity drink while we checked in. We got upgraded to a room with a deck. We ...

From Chiang Mai to Siem Reap

... We arrived at our hotel, the Pacific Hotel, in Siem Reap and are delighted with the choice - while not in the centre of Seam Reap, it is a beautiful hotel with great rooms, a gorgeous pool surrounded by a lovely outdoor patio and bar. It is great to end the trip with a nice hotel.....given the heat at Angkor Wat, we will need that pool in the afternoons. Early starts - 7 am - will be the rule because of the extreme heat and the intense crowds at the ...
