    ... were made by stacking stones (stones is probably an understatement - these are big boulders) into a self supporting conical shape with a large (3 metre wide) slab of granite at the top. Impressive. This village was discovered in then1950's and has not been completely explored yet. This village dates from about 900BC. That's old, really old.     ... some good looking performers! Stew managed to prove that he is his mothers son and bought ridiculously priced noisy flashing toys for the kids. After watching the Hawks win the Grand Final (Stew says this deserves a whole new blog) early Saturday morning on Stews little laptop we drove up into the mountains (1500m).     ... we would both love to have had more time to explore beyond this area to the real Sardinia. And, we agree, it would be horrendous here in peak season.     ... here, but the ones we visited are lovely, in little coves, looking out to islands just off the coast, and being a Sunday and an absolutely perfect day (28 degrees at 11am) lots of boats on the water.
