After Andy had walked to the patisserie and bought today's bread (his turn!) fried up a few slices of much coveted bacon, we decided today would be the day we would cycle to Les Sables D'Olonne a mere 26 km away!!!! Set off around 11.30am, after slathering ourselves in suntan lotion, the sun was high in the sky and the little dicky birds were singing, you get the picture ;-) the cycle ways here are amazing, no way even we ...

Again I wandered up to the local patisserie for breakfast, ( Andy's turn tomorrow I think!) at least the kettle was on this morning when I got back. Decided for today's little adventure we would walk, owing to dinosaur day! After doing the chores, emptying the loo, washing clothes, and generally tidying the pit of a funbus, we set of with a bounce in our stride and back packs full of water and lunch. Once out of the gate we were like, hmmmmm left or right! Decided ...

Once again the sun was shining, today I decided we would have a traditional French breaky . So off I trotted to the local patisserie and bought croissants and Pain au chocolat , whilst Andy snoozed in bed. Made a pot of fresh coffee, set the table and woke old lazy bones up. Decided to spend the morning on the beach, so packed our rucksacks, and off we went on the 10 min ride to the local beach. Now after yesterday all I will say is OWWWWWWCH!!! Parked up and wandered over ...

Up to blue sky's and and brilliant sunshine . Today we decided to cycle along the cycle route into Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, a mere 16km away! Set off around 11.30am the sun on our backs and backpacks full of water and lunch. After a lovely ride down one of the best cycle paths we have ever been on, along the shore line, through woods, along side rivers, we eventually arrived at our destination. ...

Up bright and early, well 10am! Traditional English breakfast of bacon bagel and a cuppa t or 2, decided to go for an explore on the bikes. Cycled to the local beach and had a lill wander, the sea was pretty rough but the beach was still full of people even though it was only about 22degs, probably English!!! We had a feeling that there was a local man made beach around a little lake that we had bought the kids too 20 years ago, yup found it after cycling around a bit, ...
