April 1st, 2009 Happy April Fool's Day!! In France it's called the "poisson d'avril" or "fish of April" You make paper fish and put them on people's backs. First of all, I tried to go to sleep early last night and it did not work out. I was literally coughing up my lungs until about 1am or so. Then I wake up and cannot talk at all. It's so annoying. But I head to school with all of my tests and books and stuff and I'm getting ready to walk to my class when Vanessa comes up to me and says that there will be no English this morning, we're all going to the cinema. ... until it was time to hang out with Mick and get ready for Lauren's tacky Christmas party. I didn't know what to do to make myself tacky, so I had bought this headband with snowflakes floating over it. But Mick didn't have anything so I let him wear that. I ended up cutting the back of my Mickey Mouse advent calendar and taping it to a green shirt. It looked fine and tacky. I didn't stay very long at that party because I had to be on a train to Paris the next morning at 6:30am.

12/8/08 So today is Tony's birthday. I just realized yesterday that he was turning 15. wow. That's craziness. Today was probably one of the best teaching days I've ever had. My first morning class was awful as usual, and then my second one was better. Apparently half the class had gotten in trouble, so they weren't allowed into English class. This made things better. Actually we were at a place called St Jean de Monts, and we stayed in a tent, kitted out by Keycamp. It was kind of fun, if you don't mind endless late night music for the club 18-25 campers.
