On the edge of our seat!
... our path we met a deer. The deer was hiding behind some bushes, checking out if it was safe to come out. It eventually did, until Jase made a sound and it ran off. The limestone coming out of the lakes were quite interesting. Upon visiting the lake, I had a quick look at some history and found the limestone or Tufas as they are called, only surfaced after LA diverted water from the lake for their watering needs.

From the desert to the snow
... is open and we had to wait for a table the one restaurant that was- Slocums. As it turned out, this really is a first-class restaurant with very friendly staff. The menu and wine list are extensive and I hope we can dine there again this evening.
I'm not sure if it's the altitude or the late nights catching up with us but were glad to turn in for the night.

As soon as we left the parking lot, we began passing tufa surrounded by desert scrub. We were still at least 200 yards from the water itself. The tufa disclosing how much was once underwater. Bootie Camp was never so fun!!
It started with an "all-call" email invitation to Bootie Camp in the Sierras from Elaine.
We returned home with tired muscles, but very warm memories.
