... destination of St Malo on the Brittany Coast. A short detour took us to the medieval village of Josselin with its impressive castle on the river. So to St Malo...a wander down the boardwalk...seduced by a sea food restaurant, huites (oysters) and the best ever noix (scallops) and crepes suzette - a fitting finale for France! Just time to walk around the ramparts of the old town in the warm evening twilight (at 10 pm!). Merci Beaucoup de St Malo, Au Revoir ...

Shauna had picked a dinner place which was just down the street, where we sat out back in ...

There were interesting interactive displays behind immensely heavy wooden doors in the tower rooms, all with a different theme and rather well done. Pity we didn't have time to do them justice. In the entrance had been a large tub of medieval dress ups and there were signs about the activities for children. Would be fantastic for children to ...

We made it in just the nick of time to arrive in Dover to catch the ferry across to France. We cut it so fine that our car was last to get on and Luke, Kate and the kids had to wait for the next boat, thankfully it was only an hour later. We arrived in France and stressfully familiarised ourselves with new road rules as we searched for a petrol station, we still are not sure exactly who ...
