I mention all this because I was very kind to myself and got my own room for my one night here and it is HUGE!! Along the way we saw many hunters out in the paddocks with their guns. The hunting season in France has just begun. The home was also the working office of his editor and he dedicated large areas to his own work and to the creation of the fantastic machines he designed and were built for ...

Well got up to rain! Had breakfast then sat around till 11.30 hoping it would clear. Paid the hotel, first grumpy Frenchman, he charged us €60 plus 6.50 each for breakfast - the website had said €55 & €6.10 so glad we didn't have dinner there last night! Set off in the rain but not too bad reached the fairly large town of Gaillefontaine & it started much harder so thought we'd stop for lunch as it was 1.30 but nothing there. Then ...
