A travel blog entry by camanita on Aug 02, 2013

... It was a lovely way to spend our last night on board, and even had a live brass band playing at the nearby resort where we were able to play name that tune – and later when we thought the band had gotten surprisingly louder from our cabin, we realised that they had actually gotten on a boat and were sailing around! Guess that’s life on the water. One more night at sea – wonder what it’s like to sleep on land ...

... the Hilton, by the parking lot. Just outside the gates of the city there are lots of kayak companies selling their wares, but none were "Adriatic Adventures", and none seemed to know where this company's office was. Hmmmm...little stressed wondering if we were duped.

... br> Andie and Mark Plus One

No word on if he’s a sailor or not but Mark and Andie’s new “third wheel, second spoke”, as sources close to the couple say they refer to him, certainly has the moustache to suggest a pushy and damp night of exotic fun.

    War scars and wonderment

... The shiny new roof tiles and some pock marks in walls are all that remain of that time. And the memorials. A room in the Sponza Palace is dedicated to the 200 defenders of Dubrovnik who died between 1991 and 1995. A further 300 were captured and tortured by the Serbs. A war about separation and independence. Loyalty, love, loss and ultimate tragedy. Still the independent nation of Croatia was the outcome. We do a self guided walking tour of the main ...
