It was a lovely way to spend our last night on board, and even had a live brass band playing at the nearby resort where we were able to play name that tune – and later when we thought the band had gotten surprisingly louder from our cabin, we realised that they had actually gotten on a boat and were sailing around! Guess that’s life on the water. One more night at sea – wonder what it’s like to sleep on land ...
... the Hilton, by the parking lot. Just outside the gates of the city there are lots of kayak companies selling their wares, but none were "Adriatic Adventures", and none seemed to know where this company's office was. Hmmmm...little stressed wondering if we were duped.

We had booked an hotel in the port area of Dubrovnik on the internet to be sure of accommodation. .
The Amphora Hotel is a quaint little old place on the waterfront with most of the facilities we need, a restaurant, free wi-fi , en-suite bathroom and a hairdryer. All the necessities of life. There is no elevator but a nice young man carried our cases up two flights of stairs.

No word on if he’s a sailor or not but Mark and Andie’s new “third wheel, second spoke”, as sources close to the couple say they refer to him, certainly has the moustache to suggest a pushy and damp night of exotic fun.
