La Victoire Vence

Monaco was unbelievable. I was awestruck most of the time by the fact that I was actually in Monte Carlo! Immaculate streets and gardens/parks, very clean. Designer labels and fashionable people everywhere. So small in area that every available inch of land is consumed, but still so much traffic. Amazing hills and views. The selection of photos show it best than I could describe - i took heaps of pics, so these are just a selection, but still a lot ...

... the most beautiful boats in the world are in MonteCarlo...

Language is more interesting in france. If we try to do the simple tourist things then most people can work out what is going on but when we try something else eg. going to the doctor (sue has been sick) going to a chemist.. or finding a Laundamatt.. then the language thiig is a bit more animated....

12hrs after i checked out of my Barcelona hotel, i am in Monte Carlo!!!!! Luckily got the last bus from the Nice airport to Monaco. Amazing bus trip here. I think i was wide-eyed and jaw dropped for much of it. Although it is night, you can see some amazing views, yachts and cross some bridges with HUGE drop-offs down into the coastal valley. The streets truly are Grand Prix style. Can't wait to ...

... was really pretty. Loads of lovely restaurants that we just drooled out... and went back to the van to eat pasta and tuna.. again :)

The last beach day - so we thought was nice. The beach is long and sandy but it got rough and windy and a bit cooler later in the day so we called it quits.. sadly.... oh dear....

Ile razy bylismy w uroczym miasteczku Villefranche na francuskim Lazurowym Wybrzezu, tyle razy chcialam pojechac do Monaco. Moj grafik jednak mi na to nie pozwalal. Tym razem spielam sie w czasie i zaraz po porannej pracy pobieglam na dworzec kolejowy. Pociag do Monte Carlo, w obie strony, kosztowal mnie cale 5 Euro, a jazda trwala 15-20 minut. Traveling on the bus to St Paul de Vence (my last perched village day trip!) l saw some not so happy people stomping up and own and curing in French at the bus driver who wouldn't let them in due to the packed bus. Traveling through Cannes Sur Mer in the bus l thought to myself perhaps St Paul de Vence is nearby to my employers beach house...as l had been told to meet them at Cannes Sur Mer station that evening as l would be working at their Beach house for the next week. ... I really looked like Eve, she was a very ample lady! The photos are brilliant wait until you see them!! We found the tourist office and got a map and few suggestions of where we should visit...but because neither of us can read maps we never found half of them!..... If your doing this type of trip you should learn to read maps! ....... Having exhausted ourselves in our quest to nowhere we decided to leave Monaco pretty unimpressed ...back on the train to wonderful Nice!
