    ... to 2 years, to be ready to sell. Nicole bought some to have with our lunch. Every meal except breakfast, we have had cheese. It's a real French thing, and the cheeses have been quite varied but all really delicious. We had lunch beside the cheese makers house, and believe it or not, John actually ate some tinned fish.     ... shares the lunch out, and we each carry a bit. Today's lunch was on a little knoll, before yet another uphill climb, and consisted of bread, prosciutto, cheese, and fresh fruit.     Climbing the Col de l'Iseran

    Once out of Val D'Isere you start the climb to the Col de l'Iseran. It was a relief to get out of the village and into the open landscape.     We took the bus to the main center and walked to the setting of Romeo and Juliet. Then we walked through other parts of the town and had dinner at an outdoor cafe in the main square. John and Jill were going to go to the art museum while Sally shopped but the ticket entrance closed an hour before the museum.

    Tomorrow, we're gearing up for a 12 hour day trip to Venice. Time to get some sleep!
