... starting to feel that it may be wise to expect to be robbed. The Groom's uncle said he lost his wallet on a train when someone behind put their hand between the seats and took the wallet out of a bag that he had next to him. Jane in a top Restaurant in Valencia lost her bag from under the table while I was at the loo! The other thing that they said, and that is that the pick pockets are everywhere at the station, especially when there is ...

An easy lazy day getting ready for the late afternoon wedding. Drove into town for Jane to get coiffured and by then it was lunchtime so wandered around the corner and saw an impressive looking, busy restaurant called Bistrot with a Michelin sticker on the outside and filled with Japanese. Quiet night ready for the big day ...

Overheard that if you are at their masked ball wearing a cat mask and a man, then this means that you are available for "hire". Just as well they told me! Jane and I seem to spend a lot of time looking at out of the way places and shops doing our ...

... in these caves and attached some of them by mining connections for passages as well as aquaducts. They had been there nearly 2000 years before they were discovered. There is still a lot of unknowns about how they lived, but it is a well done self guided tour. Orvieto was also a popular bolthole for Popes during times of unrest in Rome, and this vast deep well was available for use in the event of a siege.

After the caves, we are off to see Porta Maggiore, ...
