... clear, and as we started heading towards a gate in the city wall, it was apparent that we were no longer on our intended course. As it would turn out, we couldn’t have been happier.

I wish we’d had a GoPro mounted to the car. The tiny, winding streets were so wonderfully typical, and narrowed enough to provide something akin to a thrill ride as we squeezed through. With no real idea of where we were going, we followed what ...

... kind of beautiful Orvieto lace. It was a wonderful morning and we enjoyed eating the fruits of our labor!

Later in the afternoon, we headed out to the countryside and visited Victoria's house in the next town over. It is situated on a hill overlooking Orvieto to one side and the beautiful Umbrian hills and valleys to the other. We walked among the vineyards and enjoyed seeing the signs of spring along the road.

... celebration. We saw the band getting assembled and wondered what was going on. We followed them as they made their way down the street to the Duomo. A crowd had gathered but the band stopped playing when they neared the church. They were hanging out on the front steps and we all waited around. Katie kept nagging us to leave but we kept saying something was going ...
